COURSE NUMBER NOTES
Courses are numbered 001-999 with the following schematic:

001-099: College Preparatory Courses - these courses do not yield college credit, but are meant to help students prepare for college level work in a subject. Mostly they are only English or Mathematics courses.

100-299: Undergraduate General Level Courses - these are courses that are usually the introductary level courses for a subject, and are available to Freshmen and Sophomores.

300-499: Undergraduate Upper Level Courses - these are courses that are usually specialized courses in a field, and assume prior knowledge in the field to take. Most have some kind of pre-requisite, and are generally aimed at Juniors and Seniors.

500-699: Graduate Level Courses - these are general courses at the graduate level.

700+ : Upper Level Graduate Courses - these are specialized advanced graduate courses.


SECTION CODES
Section Codes are designated by a letter and a number. The letter gives information about the dates that the course runs. The number indicates at what time of day the course runs. While some courses deviate from the "standard" schedule of a code (indicated by "note special schedule" in the course description), most will follow the information designated by the code.
